At White Oak, our desire is to be a community of believers who are firmly grounded in the Word of God.

We desire to be in a relationship with God through our Savior Jesus Christ, with the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit who lives in all believers.

This bears fruit in Biblical, authentic Christianity through worship, discipleship, ministry, service, prayer and sharing our faith locally and around the world.

We desire to see each individual in our church family grow into maturity in Christ as they Become Christ's Follower, Belong to His Family and Participate in His Mission!

White Oak cooperates with the Southern Baptist Convention, along with our local Connecticut Baptist  Association.

Features

Our Mission

At White Oak Baptist Church, we believe in the Biblical triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the importance of discipleship and seek to help each other grow in our walk with Christ.

Worship

Scripture teaches that worship is a vital part of the Christian life. We sing a variety of worship styles, including traditional hymns and contemporary songs.

Fellowship

Scripture teaches that fellowship is an important aspect of the Christian life. We offer opportunities for fellowship through various gatherings and events.

Service

Scripture teaches that service is an expression of our faith. We offer opportunities for service within our church and in our community.

Deacon Ministry Team

The deacons and deaconesses assist the elders by coordinating various ministries that relate to the physical needs of the congregation. They each may oversee a particular church ministry. At their discretion, the deacons and deaconesses gather volunteers in support of their work. More than serving, the deacon ministry promotes service.
