OUR MINISTRIES

Prayer

White Oak gathers on Wednesday nights throughout the year at
7 PM for a time of intercessory prayer.

Grandparents Ministry

We have a unique grandparents ministry led by Glenn and Sandy Havumaki. This group provides guidance in learning how to better pray for grandchildren and make purposeful investments into their lives.

Discipleship Classes - on hold

There are age appropriate Discipleship Classes for all ages including nursery (0-5 yrs), so that parents with infants and toddlers may enjoy a time of teaching and fellowship. At present we are on break from discipleship classes.

Praise Band

The White Oak Praise Band leads our hearts into an attitude of worship through music in our Sunday Worship services and at other White Oak events. They can visit the homes of our church family, especially for those who have difficulty making it to church for services. They desire to encourage others to use their musical gifts and abilities in this ministry.

Good Shepherd Christian Preschool

The Good Shepherd Christian Preschool, located at our Wallingford Campus, exists to promote the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical growth and development of preschoolers. Our preschool strives to provide Christian support and encouragement of parents in their task of child rearing. Visit gscps.org.

Bethesda Evangelical Mission

Bethesda Evanglical Mission has been serving the people of Haiti since 1984, establishing churches and providing pastoral training, building schools and orphanages where children can find education, love and hope, and coordinating multiple mission trips each year. WOBC serves as a type of home base for BEM and provides support in many ways. Visit bemhaiti.org.

Youth

For our teens, we plan trips to a youth retreat each winter and have occasional get-togethers such as bowling, game nights or other activities.

Women's Fellowship

White Oak ladies gather from time to time for specific fellowship, activities, Bible study, support and encouragement.

Children

We encourage families to worship together and want our service to include attenders of all ages. Items are available in the rear of the worship hall to help your little ones occupy the time while in worship. We also have an Upper Sanctuary with our service livestream available to provide a quieter area for young ones to play while parents can still be part of the service.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

Cheshire MOPS, a local chapter of MOPS (Mother of Preschoolers) has closed after meeting for 20+ years in our church. To find a group near you, visit mops.org/groupsearch

Hope Pregnancy Center

Hope Pregnancy Center, located next to our Cheshire Campus, provides compassionate and confidential support for men and women in crisis pregnancy situations. Through mentoring classes, material supplies, spiritual and emotional support and unconditional love, Hope Pregnancy Center offers hope and help to everyone who comes through their doors.
